Hi,
I have VVX 500 phones running UC 5.0.0.6874. On the web interface, under "Soft Key Configuration" there is a note that states:
Items in grey background are 'Default Soft keys' and non-configurable.
The items marked with '*' cannot be disabled through the Web Configuration Utility. You can disable a soft key from the phone user interface or using parameters in a configuration file.
Note: the DND is key listed as a *
By default, I have the following softkeys on the bottom of the phone screen (New Call/Forward/DND/My Status/More). Ideally, I would like to remove DND entirely or replace it with another function. I have done some searches and see some posts indicate that it isn't possible to remove while the web interface indicates that it is. Please advise. Thanks.

Hi,
I just wanted to jump in here. I have a customer using VVX 410. The default DND button position is the second from left. They sometimes accidentally press DND when they want to hangup (also second softkey from left) but the other party has hung up before.
I tried to disable the New Call key hoping that the DND button would jump to the first softkey from left. That did not work. The left is now empty. Then I tried the following softkey config. But that does not work. Now I have two DND buttons. Is there really no way to remove the default DND key?
<?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?> <sip> <softkey softkey.feature.newcall="0" softkey.1.label = "DND" softkey.1.action = "$FDoNotDisturb$" softkey.1.use.idle = "1" softkey.1.enable = "1" softkey.2.enable="1" softkey.2.label = "" softkey.2.action "" softkey.2.use.idle = "0" /> </sip>

Hello jf,
welcome back to the Polycom Community.
As already advised here, and in several other posts in the community, there is currently no way to remove the DND Button from the screen.
This is planned for a future release but I have no confirmed ETA for this yet.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

I have the Polycom VVX500 with 1 side car. This is used as the reception phone and the 'DND' soft key needs to be disabled due to staff accidently setting the phone to DND resulting in calls going to VM rather than live receptionist. How do I disable this key.
