Poly VVX 300

I've got about 100 Poly VVX 300 phones that will be moving from a premise voip system to a UCaaS system in a couple of weeks. I have the network guy ready to change DHCP option 160 when the time comes and a script to reboot all of the phones after the DHCP change, but I am wondering if the Provisioning Server Type and DHCP boot server type parameters. Currently Provisioning Server Type is FTP and Boot Server is Custom_Opt66. When I see a successfully provisioned phone on the UCaaS system, those settings are HTTPS and String, respectively. Do I need to worry about manually changing those once the phones get their new option 160 after reboot?

Thanks in advance.

Hello @tcuroso ,

Welcome to the HP community.

Unfortunately, your post does not contain the currently used Software version for the HP Poly product, the HP Poly Software, or the Partner application version you use. For example, Microsoft Teams, Zoom Rooms, USB mode, SIP/H.323 mode, etc.

This is important especially in the future when someone finds this post in days, months, or years to come.

Please do not simply edit the original post but reply with the versions.

We do remind users in the FAQ or the Read 1st section, explaining why this is important.

For your actual question, as long as you have not set any manual provisioning configuration the phone will just read and process the string aka if the old string was FTP and the new is HTTPS it will work.

If an issue like this cannot be resolved via a public community post, and no other volunteers reply, please work with our support organization in your region. Details on how to contact us are in my signature

Steffan,

Thanks for replying. Here is the relevant info:

VVX UC Software Version 5.9.6.2327,  Updater Version 5.9.7.38223

The phones are currently registered to Genesys PureConnect, are migrating to Genesys Cloud CX.

It sounds like we should be good after the DHCP change is made, thanks for confirming.
