Hi,
i am trying to change the Admin password on my VVX600 using the cfg file - but its not working - the default 456 password is still set.
i am following the instructions in: http://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP/FAQ-What-is-the-Standard-Username-and-Password-for-a-Polycom/m-...
<device device.set="1">
<auth device.auth.localAdminPassword.set="1" device.auth.localAdminPassword="123456"/>
what could stop this being applied to the phones?
thanks
jack

Hello Jack,
have you tried exporting your configuration in order to see that importing or provisioning has actually loaded this configuration?
In addition you could simply change it on phone phone via the GUI as explained in the FAQ guide and then export the configuration to verify the parameters.
Please also ensure you state the currently used software version.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards

Hey Jack,
Do you know if any of your configuration is getting applied to the VVX600? I'm wondering if the phone is not finding your device.cfg file for some reason. If you are using an FTP server, do you see the VVX600 hit it when it reboots?
