I log onto my phone through a web broswer using the phone's IP.

I use the "add line key funtion" and add a contact.

It shows up on my phone, however I cannot go back to edit those line keys. I cannot delete any of them. Move them up or down. They are stuck there. I attached a picture to show you.

If I hold the line key button on the phone, it doesn't do anything.

However, if I added a line key through the phone and not the IP address page, I can delete them.

The ones added through IP address have a blue icon on the phone, the ones added through the phone just have a black/white icon.

Any help is greatly apperciated.

Hello @cmit ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

I assume you want to add speed dials and not line keys. The feature you are using is for line keys as the VVX range does not support to add speed dials via the Web Interface.

In addition, you should be upgrading your firmware to UC Software 6.1.0 as the version you are using is no longer supported.

Questions around speed dials please check here:

I believe these are called "line keys".

Anyways, the articles you posted don't really help. I've added the "speed dials" already, but the issue is that it won't let me go back and edit/delete them or anything.

Hello @cmit ,

As already stated you are using ancient software which we introduced the VVX411 initially. The latest supported software is UC Software 6.1.0.

Using a currently supported software lets you add or remove:

  • A configured Line Key via the Reset option
  • A configured BFL Key via the Delete option

Line registration is discussed here:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: Can I register or is my Polycom Phone compatible with a “XYZ” SIP Server?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

BLF is discussed here:

Nov 4, 2011 Question: How can I setup a Busy Lamp Field / BLF with an Digium Asterisk SIP Server?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Both of the above are not Speed Dials as already outlined within my original reply and you cannot add a Speed Dial, as already explained, via the Web Interface.

This is also documented in the linked FAQ post.

5.9.4.3247 is the latest software upgrade I see. I don't see 6.1.0.

Is there any risk of losing any of my configurations with upgrading?
