Hi all
I do a lot research but cannot find out the solution.
I use Polycom 501 and Dell switch for dividing voice VLAN. But I can only make call to outside and no voice in both direction. The laptop put back of the phone is working fine, can surf the internet without problems. Additionally, check in Asterisk system, I can see that the phone unreachable, even though the phone can register with the Asterisk system without problem
However, when I put the phone in the normal switch (no VLAN), it worked fine, can call in and out with voice for bidirectional.
Does the Polycom 501 support voice VLAN?
How can I setup the Dell switch (or Cisco if needed) for the phone working over VLANs? (phone server, and IP phone in different VLAN)
Thanks for any help

Hello tombeck,
welcome back to the Polycom Community.
Utilizing the Community search with the word "dell" I find multiple post's discussing Dell switch parameters => here <=
In addition the community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Jul 10, 2013 Question: How can I use VLAN's with Polycom phones?
Resolution: Please check => here <=
Above explains how to utilize DHCP to assign a specific VLAN. In addition, depending on the Software, our phones also support CDP or LLDP.
Details can be found in the administrator guide matching your phone software.
