Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to buy a

Deskphone

to plug into my desktop computer .. windows 10, using chrome
That will allow me to use google voice personal account
Seeing talk about a possible firm ware problem ..
Google's page gives these specs
https://support.google.com/a/answer/13010933?sjid=4305312657818423712-NC#zippy=%2Csupported-desk-pho...
When I get on that merry ground for support they ask the serial number of a phone I have yet to buy and in their product pages that I found there is no phones, just office equipment stuff
QUESTION
From google's spec page of phones that will work with gvoice
What is the least expensive phone I can buy to work with google voice

Thanks

Hello @buddynpups ,

welcome to the HP Poly community.

Ultimately Google are the correct people to answer this.

As shared by yourself the following HP Poly Products are compatible with the voice offering from Google:

Supported desk phone model Recommended firmware version Minimum required version
Poly ATA 400 and 402  4.0.1.6719 4.0.1.6719
Poly Edge B10, B20, and B30 1.0.2.5983 1.0.2.5983
Poly OBi 300 and 302 3.2.6.9350 3.2.6.9350
Poly VVX OBi Edition 150, 250, 350, and 450 6.4.5.10011 6.4.0.2

None of the above devices can be plugged into a PC. Some of these devices, the Poly Edge B and the Poly VVX Obi edition, have a PC port so one connection from a PoE-powered switch or using a Power Supply can share an ethernet connection.

The Poly VVX 150, 250, 350, and 450 are sold as two different versions, the one that is compatible with Google is the VVX x50 Obi Edition so ensure to buy the right hardware.

Example from Amazon in the US.

Best Regards

Hello @buddynpups

depending on the location, you could also buy a cheap PoE switch that provides power to the phones as you need a switch to hook them all up to the network. If you are not aware the maximum cable length between a switch and a phone should not be more than 100m/300ft
