IP331
Software: 3.3.1.0769
I have this setup for SNTP:
tcpIpApp.sntp.address="130.88.203.12" tcpIpApp.sntp.address.overrideDHCP="1" tcpIpApp.sntp.gmtOffset="" tcpIpApp.sntp.resyncPeriod="86400"
tcpIpApp.sntp.gmtOffset.overrideDHCP="1"
However when the phone is not looking for external NTP server and it uses Time Server on the DHCP Offer. Any idea why it is doing it?
Thanks
Rakesh

Hi Rakesh,
a boot / app log would be needed to be checked in order if there are any configuration file issues.
Have you done this yet?
There are other posts that can be found via the community search that cover the sntp parameter and confirm it works.
Have you checked the UCS 3.3.5 Release notes if there was any NTP related issues fixed?
Best Regards

Hello Donagh,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.
The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"
Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here
I am not aware of any issue like this and if the original poster has not reported this to Polycom support via their Polycom reseller then we would not be able troubleshoot this.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hi Steffen,
Thanks for the reply.
The UC Software version is 5.2.0.8330.
The phone is a VVX 500.
Could it be a possibility that the set NTP server is not reachable by the phone therefore it falls back to the DHCP time server?
I will try and open a case with Polycom and report back accordingly.
