I didn't use my pc for a couple of years and have recently decided to use it again, But keep in mind prior to the updates i did for the drivers my audio was working perfectly fine, but when i updated my audio disappeared completely. 

im not the smartest so i tried using chatgpt to help me fix this, i did powershell commands, installled the new drivers via websites given but nothing works, i dont know what to do. ive had no sound for a week now, not even bluetooth gives audio

I understand that the Bluetooth audio also stopped working, I would not immediately assume the physical speakers are the problem. That points more toward a Windows audio/driver configuration issue. I would request you to please follow the steps:

 

  • Press Windows + X → Device Manager.
  • Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
  • Look for entries such as:
    • Realtek Audio
    • High Definition Audio Device
    • Intel Smart Sound Technology
    • AMD/NVIDIA/Intel audio device
  • Right-click the main audio device → Uninstall device.
  • If you see “Attempt to remove the driver for this device”, check it.
  • Click Uninstall.
  • Restart the PC.

Windows should attempt to reinstall the audio device automatically after the restart. If not request you to please install the driver from the link
