After I reinstalled windows, the sound was gone and I mean the sound chip integrated in the computer. I tried installing all kind of drivers, but nothing helps. It shows as there is no sound device conected. So is there some software/driver that woukld make computer see and use the integratedsound chip?

It changes everything since the dc7800 and dc7900 use a different audio chip than the dc5700/dc7700 does.
You need this W7 audio driver for the dc7900...
This package contains the driver for the ADI High-Definition (HD) Audio CODEC in the supported desktop models and operating systems.

Hi:
You should be able to use the W7 32 bit audio driver directly from Realtek.
Accept the agreement. Download and install the 1st driver on the list -- 32 bit.

If that doesn't work, use the Vista Business 32 bit audio driver from the dc5700 support page.
