Pavillion 500 215 el
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an audio problem, then before upgrading to Windows 10 or the anniversary update the audio working properly after updating I noticed right away that the sound is distorted or " crackles " .
I have not identified the problem well because it is random , it happens very often and it is very annoying my sound system is IDT DTS Sound + I tried to reinstall the drivers with the latest version but no dice the problem persists ...
I only noticed that the problem is more "feel " when the bass setting is higher or when I change the audio setting to my liking .
I kindly ask for help has also become really annoying because without my custom settings is really horrible!
Thank you.
Sorry for English but it is not my mother tongue , I used google translator.

Hi there @Alexcpp,

Welcome back to the HP Support Forums!  I understand that after the Windows 10 Anniversary update you have had some sound issues.  I am happy to give you a hand with this.

Checking the support page for your model HP Pavilion 500-215el Desktop PC, there do not appear to be any updated drivers and you have already tried reinstalling the existing ones.

You could always try using the HP Support AssistantHP PCs - Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 10, 8, 7) to see if there is any driver available that is not shown on the support page. It is not likely but there is always a chance the page was not yet updated.

Another possibility is to do some tweaking on your system just in case there is some other driver or software that is interfering with the audio, possibly causing some lag issues. You can try looking though these: HP PCs - Computer Is Slow (Windows 10)HP PCs - Slow Internet Troubleshooting (Windows 10, 😎.  They are never a waste of time as often there is something that could help overall system performance.

Please let me know whether that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.

None of these solutions worked please check these audio driver because something is wrong after the anniversary update !

The PC is in perfect condition also because I repeat , before the update the audio went smooth . My drivers are all up to date with HP Support Assistan latest audio driver sp71717 ( 6.10.6504.0 ) When I uninstalled the drivers for a solution possible I cleaned everything , system logs with ccleaner removed all debris such as folders and files IDT . Nothing are the drivers that these bugs.

Another option as a temporary fix, since the issue started with the Windows 10 anniversary edition, is to roll back the anniversary edition, for now, or just wait for the next Windows update. In the past Windows updates have resulted in some glitches that were often fixed with a later patch or update delivered automatically as part of the Windows 10 update process.
