Thanks,

I can't seem to access group policies since I have a home edition of windows, other than that, I've done all the other steps.

Ill make note of that process to disable update.

Good news is I called HP yesterday to cancel my computer repair request. They had it for a week and I don't think they know what's wrong with it so they went and had a graphics card on order. They did not listen to me when I spoke to the repair department issues risen since BIOS was updated. So I was able to get the repair cancelled and I believe it being processed as now when I check the HP Case Status it errors out and doesn't open the case ticket anymore. So when I get my PC back in 1-2 days I will go through the AFUWINDOS steps listed earlier by MatthiasMarie as I have the program and the 8433 BIOS and SIG file on the root of a USB stick ready to go. I called in sick rest week so I likely wont be going back trucking until the weekend, I have the original graphics card a 2GB RX550 in my ACER PC and I installed the same card but 4GB in the HP I sent for repair that is a HP OEM card and worried they were going remove the 4GB card and put in a 2GB causing me to lose out on that card. I was also told a refund would happen but not sure if I will have a full refund of $350 or a partial for them to do some diags on it.

I am checking if someone can send me the link for the F.54 version BIOS. I have the P590-0089 PC and it does not have that version on the driver download for the 8433 MOBO. But I see some users have the F.54 for that type MOBO so like to get that version. F41 Rev A is the latest showing for me on the website. The F.57 is garbage from Windows Update which it currently has.

Take the BIOS that is listed on HP support website for Your computer after automatic detection (if You can do this after all). If there is only F.41 then take that.

Is it HP Pavilion 590-p0089? It was produced in 2018 so it might be that HP has cancelled upgrading BIOS after F.41.

Don't use a BIOS that is not fitting for Your motherboard (i.e F.57 for us all in this subject 😠). And if You know that F.41 was running ...

Yes it is the 0089 Version from 2018. I saw the optional update in windows update for firmware wasn't expecting was going reprogram BIOS to F.57 and that was start of my problems,

This is exactly what happened to me. I installed the BIOS change as you did and things went downhill from there.  It just got worse and worse, but I fixed it and the machine runs great; in fact better than new! However, there is a caveat.

The BIOS change causes these machines to draw too much power at one time from your power supply. The solution was to upgrade the power supply from 310 max watts to 500 max watts.  Wow, I can tell you this machine runs great.

These machines have two major power feeds to the motherboard; one marked PS4 which supplies the CPU, and one marked PS3 which supplies the disks.  Each one of these power feeds can draw up to 310 watts.  In other words, this PC can draw up to 200% of the maximum rating of the power supply.

I doubt the power is ever that high but it does seem to reach the 310 watts amount between the two of them and when that happens your PC dies or something weird happens; watch out for disk corruption.  One would think that HP would supply a 620-watt power supply; right? No such luck.

I have my machine working currently with the power supply sitting outside the box because here are the challenges to upgrading the power supply:

1. The custom HP Sunflower motherboard requires a custom HP power supply. There is another power supply part: L05757-800. That power supply is 500 watts and works great but good luck putting it into the existing case.

2. So you need a new case, easy you say; no. The motherboard is a custom size so it's going to be an HP case that accepts the Sunflower motherboard and the new power supply.

I am not happy with this situation. It seems like HP built a computer with an underpowered PSU and, while the guarantee was in place, supplied a bios that slowed things down to keep too much power draw. Then a few months after HP dropped support for this machine they released a BIOS that decouples disk power requirements from the CPU power requirements.  It all has a bad smell to it.

I got fed up with repair center. They didn't listen right me when they called me for more info and saying it wasnt locking up when they tested it and were going replace my video card or reload then software. I got the email confirmation they shipped it back to me as case for repair canceled so I got lucky. When gets back I'm down grading bios and hope won't lock in the process of downgrading.

I just got computer back HP. Immediately ram the instructions MatthiasMarie provided using the WFUWinx64 program and it reprogrammed my BIOS fine. I now at F.41 no more F.57.

Thats great…Im glad it worked for you.

MatthiasMarie , et.al.
thank You! Your method worked! I've been able to downgrade to F55
To add to the pickle, i had to install and EFI browser to delete the old F57 residues from the HP/BIOS/Previous and New folders on the recovery partition, the old (but newer F57) tried to slip back in after a few boots(!)

here is a link to your post with the sollution. if anyone gets lost in here..
