Can you connect the SSD as a "secondary" disk-drive in some other computer?
If you can, then a drive-letter will be assigned to the partition containing the previous BIOS, which should enable the copying of that file to a USB memory-stick.

since it looked like the SDD was deffective it was sent back to the manufacturer for replacment. I do not have the old bios on an SDD or ANY other type of drive other than a USB stick.
The EFI partition and recovery partition of the ORIGINAL 2TB spndle drive are intact.
However the EFI partition from the orignal drive is inaccessable EVEN from another windows machine when connected via USB.
The orignal HP recovery partition on the orignal 2TB drive is accessble via USB from a different PC.
If I knew EXACTLY where to put the .bin and .sig files maybe that would work BUT ONLY IF the BIOS recovery will allow access to it.

Ok I managed to copy the bios files both the .bin and the .sig file over to the EFI partition .
Now I can access then via the UEFI system diag
HOWEVER, Now it says "Unable to open BIOS Signature file" !!!!
I put multiple copies in multiple location on the EFI partition, location does not make a difference where I put them.
I downloaded the same files again tweice agian got the same error all three times.
Why will it not open the .sig file?
is it truly possible that the BIOS CANNOT be downgraded at all by any method?
If the answr is YES then HP owes me a new motherbaord. It was the HP tool that did this to me.

The above thread seems to be the same problem, namely that a BIOS update created the problem.

Does anyone have an update on this? a ticket number with HP or an ecsalation? I would like to know that this is at least being looked at or that HP is aware and actively working on a solution. I need to report to my boss about what is going on.

This is a "user-to-user" forum, not an official path to contact HP to open a support case. IMHO, it's time for you to do so.
