HP 27 inch All-in-One Desktop AI PC 27-cr2000i (AQ5E3AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello I have a 2 month old HP 27 all in one desktop pc 27-cr2000i and when I turned it on it goes into preparing automatic repair then goes to choose option blue screen.  Has 4 option

1 Continue

2 Use a device

3 Troubleshoot

4 Turn off computer

Problem is my mouse and keyboard doesn't operate when it's in this screen and the touch screen isn't working also. I need to get this computer working without losing my files and program apps. How can I get to mouse and keyboard to operate so I can choose one of the options and also what option should I choose to fix the computer

I am guessing you have Wireless Keyboard and Mouse.  if so, you need to borrow or buy a cheap wired  keyboard.  It is possible to duplicate the mouse by using cursor keys and the tab key but wired mice can be found cheap.

If you actually have a wired mouse and keyboard then there's some type of hardware problem.

You need to determine if there is a hardware problem:
Turn the power on and tap the ESC key to get into the diagnostics menu. Press F2 to run the UEFI diagnostics. Can you pass the memory and disk test? Do not allow any updates or repairs if disk or memory fail, especially a BIOS update.

Since the startup repair failed, then try a restore

This video describes how to use a restore point.
Let me know if you need more help or if startup repair fails.

Let me know what you find out.

Hi I have wired keyboard and mouse they work while in UEFI Diagnostics and was able to run memory and disk test both passed. The problem is when I get to the blue screen where it says choose option that's when the mouse and keyboard doesn't work.  Any idea how to get the mouse or keyboard to work so I can click on the Trouble shoot option to get into advance option and do a system restore.

Thanks again

You need to boot into safe mode to fix the problem.
Click here to see how to start your system in safe mode.

Once you get into safe mode, then do the repair or skip the repair and select a restore point

---or--

Bring up the Windows Device Manager and look for errors
Sometimes you can just delete the defective device and reboot to have Windows find the correct one.
If Windows put the wrong one in then you need to roll back the driver to the previous one.
You can also run SFC or DISM to fix file corruption while in safe mode.

SFC and DISM are both tools that scan and repair corrupted system files. However, SFC uses a cached version of the files, while DISM uses the internet to download and fix the files.

Try the SFC first and if that gives a message that it cannot fix the problem then try the DISM tool.

Let me know what you find out.

I have the exact same issue and your solution doesn't help solve the problem because according to the instructions to get into safe mode- it requires you to move the option to the "Troubleshoot" area on the same blue screen where a mouse and keyboard (whether wired or not) does not move on the screen. The system appears to freeze and no amount of rebooting solves the issue so the question remains, how can this be solved without a complete reinstall?

Safe mode replaces the existing windows drivers with minimum required to operate. If you actually get into safe mode and the system freezes it is likely a hardware problem.

Try booting a USB memory diagnostic app such as memtest.

There is an an updated UEFI app from HP here:

HP releases newer UEFI diagnostics periodically.
When you select F2 during boot you are requesting UEFI diagnostics.
There is an updated diagnostics package Click Here
Look for the phrase 'issues outside the OS',
Expand the'+'symbol and click the DOWNLOAD button.
The version of the UEFI diagnostics is shown at the left of that DOWNLOAD button.
When you press F2 to run diagnostics please ensure the version is the new one.

All tests came back passed. What fixed the issue is going into the BIOS and disabling secure boot and it came right up.
