Envy 23-o014
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

My all in one update the bios and now will not boot up. When i use the windows key/B and power up it goes to a dos screen and says to press esc to enter the start menu but nothing happens. I've tried different key combinations but it is always the same, same screen and will not proceed or bring up any menu... i even bought the recovery USB but cannot access it so it is useless at this point.

I have the same problem.  The only differences are Window 10 operating system and Envy c030.  When I press the ESC key, what I expect to see is a startup menu, not just the words "startup menu."

I just had a tech look at mine, says it will need a new motherboard. I've pulled my HD so i can get some data off i need and will just buy another desktop. The cost of repair is close to 1/2 of a new one.
