Product: Example: Pavilion 24-xa0xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I start the computer I get a dialogue box which states : "Warning. HP Display Control Service needs to be updated. Please update using link below: https://www.portrait.com/dtune/hps/enu/index.html." IS IT ANYTHING TO DO WITH HP???

As indicated in the link, this screen is for you to choose a default mode for your monitor.

 

This is probably a part of initial setup and you have to get passed that by choosing an option.

Yes -- it's genuine but I have no idea why it would keep reappearing once you have answered it.
