i'm locked out of the bios and the clr cmos and the clr pwd headers don't remove the password they just put a factory password on and i don't know what this password is, i've also tried removing the bios battery twice once for 30min and again overnight but i'm still asked for a password does anyone know the bios passwords this motherboard will use.

Hi:
The reason the clr pswd didn't work is because the instructions as you see them are incomplete/incorrect.
I have re-written them below, and that should take care of the problem...
- Turn OFF the computer and unplug the power cord.
- Move the jumper to from pins 1-2 (default) to pins 2-3
- Plug in and turn on the computer. The BIOS password should now be cleared
- Turn OFF the computer and unplug the power cord
- Then move the jumper back to default
- Plug the power cord and turn ON the computer

I wouldn't feel that way.
You followed the manufacturer's instructions, and they were wrong.
I few weeks ago, I reported the problem to HP, who is supposed to be revising the instructions for that motherboard and a couple of others.
