bios update new cpu

Welcome back to the HP Support Forums!  I understand that you are asking whether a specific CPU will work with your system's motherboard.  I am happy to give you a hand with this.

Looking at the HP Pavilion p7-1455 Desktop PC Product Specifications, and the HP and Compaq Desktop PCs - Motherboard Specifications, MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine), the motherboard only supports the following CPU upgrade options: 

Trinity Dual-Core A4-5300         65  W
Trinity Dual-Core A6-5400K       65  W
Trinity Quad-Core A8-5500        65  W
Trinity Quad-Core A8-5600K     100 W
Trinity Quad-Core A10-5700      65  W
Trinity Quad-Core A10-5800K   100 W

So the one you specifically asked about is not among the types supported.
