All-in-One 22-b008
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My All-in-One decided not to boot one morning. after looking up info online (including here) I ordered a new motherboard. After connecting the new board and plugging in the unit it get the same result, led flashes 7 times, short rest, then repeat. I have also replaced the hard drive and RAM so in essence everything is new outside the LCD.

Pushing the power button has no results. No fan, no POST, nothing...

Any suggestions on how to get this machine up and running again? I have read other post, but there does not seem to be any real resolution and nothing works?

Thanks in advance. 🙂

@inTechrity To identify & understand what those blinking lights represent: Click here

Have you reset the computer to release excessive static? If not, use the below steps:

  • Ensure your device is OFF.
  • Unplug all the external devices (If any).
  • Disconnect the power cord from the PSU,
  • Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds.
  • Connect the power supply (power cord).
  • Press the power button to turn on your desktop.

Good day and thank you for the reply.

Blinking light error codes does not cover 7 flashes (without beeps).

This unit was manufactured in 2017 (I believe) based on the serial number. Based off the year, there are no codes for 7 flashes (no beeps)? The 7 flash sequence (with beeps) shows for computers released before 2015, are these still relevant for computers after?

I have replaced the Motherboard with one that was tested and working and still receive the flashes (and no beeping).

Your second link does not respond (does not work). Could you test in an incognito or private window, please.

Third link is relevant only when the computer is able to boot.

I am no dummy when it comes to computers. Just a dummy when it comes to HP computers. haha

Just looking to get this running again. 😞

Thanks in advance

@inTechrity I went through the details, updated the links, and if replacing the motherboard didn't do the trick among other, this could be a hardware malfunction and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

here's how private messages work: Click here for details.

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
