How do I make the 6+2 a 8 pin

HP Recommended

And which orientation does the p2 connector go in

HP Recommended

@Daniel358,

The 2-pin for a 6+2-pin PCIe power cable only fits with the notches sliding over the 6-pin:

The "P2" connector orientation: the "P2" connector is inserted onto the motherboard with the "P2" stamp facing the bottom of your case, and its black wire is facing towards the rear of your case.  Honestly, there is only one way how to plug it in.

Kind Regards,

     by p2 stamp you mean the p2 writing right

HP Recommended

@Daniel358,

Yes, that is correct. The P2 writing could be upside down, btw:

I’m gonna use electrical tape and bundle up the extra 4 pin cpu and 2 6+2 pins with tape and then tape it to the bottom of the Case

@Daniel358,

Well, why would you tape down your PCIe 6+2-pin power cables?  I thought you were going to install a graphics card.
