HP Pavilion HPE h8-1240t CTO Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an upgraded (memory SSD with second HD

I want to install a second monitor. I would like to know if my computer is capable of doing so before I go and purchase another monitor and cable.

If I can, does my video board have anything other than a standard VGA output (I wonder if it has a HDMI output)

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure I understand what you have
there may be different models of this same card
Are the connectors like here:

Eyefinity Radeon HD 7570

2 GB onboard memory

Image of video card

  • DisplayPort
  • HDMI
  • DVI*

Image of video card bracket showing ports

so up to three screens possible
In dvi Hdmi display port (VGA using included DVI-to-VGA adapter)

So if there is one free HDMI , yes, you maybe connect one hdmi monitor

Hello
It is difficult to answer you precisely
It is indicated for this model that it is a configurable computer
You can have one of the graphics card models indicated on the product page, or just the motherboard ports.
If there is no graphics card, you have this:

 Motherboard Specifications, IPMMB-FM (Formosa)

Image of the back I/O ports

5 DVI-I: 1 and DVI-D: 1

otherwise, depending on the card in place,

HP Pavilion HPE h8-1240t Product Specifications and Configurable Options

  • GeForce GT 530 (2 GB)
  • GeForce GT 545 (3 GB)
  • GeForce GTX 550 Ti (1 GB)

  • Radeon HD 7570 (2 GB)
  • Radeon HD 7670 (1 GB)
  • Radeon HD 7770 (2 GB)
  • Radeon HD 7950 (3 GB)

I can get to the graphics card insside the box

Is there any way for me to ID the card for you, if that will help?

Thanks

You can just try it from the device manager, but that will just give an idea, since graphics cards can have different connectors.
It would take a photo from the back of the computer, it could also help
If you have an ati graphics card, you should have the control panel, the same for nvidia and intel
this normally shows the model

At nvidia, we must have all the information here under windows 10, model and connector:

Thanks for that last post

According to device manager

AMD Radeon HD7570

3 outputs. One appears to be a HDMI, one which is connected to my HP2511x monitor and a third (VGA?)

So if this is correct, can I attach a second monitor via HDMI cable?
