The following HP Driver for the Broadcom BCM43142 should be what you need.

Go ahead and try it. It will either work or it won't.
Have you identified which LAN adapter is installed in yours yet?

Use the Device Manager.
In the Network adapter section, the network adapter should be present.

I have attached an image to this post. It shows the Device Manager. This one is Windows 10, but the Windows 7 Device Manager just looks a little more modern. I have pointed out the network adapter section. Click on the arrow next to it to expand the same section in yours.
In my device manager there are two adapters, The Intel network controller, which is an LAN adapter andd the ASUS wireless adapter.
You can also use the snippping tool to capture an image, post it in your thread so I can see what you are seein.
You can also invoke the BIOS with a F10 keystroke whgile powering up to see if in the system information tab there is an FCCID there. Post it here.
