all updates applied. 

 

Cannot lock Function key. no option in bios to lock function key so that by default F1 F2 etc will work instead of multimedia keys. Currently by default, pressing F1 mutes the volume. To enable F1 I have to hold function. I want to change so pressing that key will call F1 for help instead of volume mute. I do not see an option on keyboard on in BIOS as few posts have suggested. Updated BIOS to latest version to see if this option got added but it is still not there. Help? If it's not an option this computer won't work for me.

unfortunately the only possible solutions currently are software, or hardware replacement
There is a solution, but that is to block the key, and you may break the keyboard
Unfortunately either this is not suitable or user feedback
