Graphic Card upgrade HP Pavilion Desktop

Hello, new to computer building/upgrading so sorry for the basic questions I am still trying to learn and figure this out but it's not very clear. I am looking at trying to upgrade my graphics card, hard drives, and RAM but having a hard time understanding what I can use. Some of the specs are listed below that show installed currently. 

I want to either add a new graphics card or replace this with a better one but not sure which one applies. Do I replace it or can I add to it? What should I be looking for when doing this? Do I need to upgrade the power source as well? The main goal is to play computer games. The main game I have right now, but can't play because of the graphics card, is COD warzone.

Also, I want to add storage, but again, am unsure if I am supposed to replace what I have or if I can just add to it? What should I be looking for?

Finally, I intend to get another 16gb RAM stick with the same information as the one listed to boost it to 32gb. But is that all that I can install? I am pretty sure there are only 2 RAM slots, but am I able to get 2 32gb sticks to go to 64gb total? I don't understand what the limiting factor would be here and just want to make sure everything works. What is the maximum that I can put in the computer?

Any information anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. Or is someone could even point me in the right direction. I don't mind researching and finding out the answer to learn but I am confused about it all currently.

You will have to follow the instructions in the article that I provided to determine if the card will fit into the space provided with plenty of space to allow for good airflow.  Airflow is very important with the newer high power cards.  They develop a lot of heat; especially in smaller mid-size cases.  Also, check the width of the card to assure that it will fit.  It is a double space card.  This card requires a power supply unit (PSU) with 450W and a 1x8-pin PCIe power connector.

Your motherboard is HP proprietary.  It has a 4-pin power connector, instead of a standard 24-pin ATX power connector.  This means that you have to upgrade the PSU using one from HP.  The highest wattage PSU provided by HP is 500W (L05757-800).  This is very close to the minimum required wattage, but it should work.  Here is a Power Supply Cross-Reference Chart to show you where I got this information:https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Power-Supply-Cross-Reference-for-specific-model....  Here is the PSU on HP PartSurfer: https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=l05757-800

I can't find any information from HP on the maximum amount of memory that can be installed.  However, here is the memory that is recommended by Crucial Memory: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hP-Compaq/pavilion-tp01-0070

It shows that the maximum amount of memory is 64 GB.  I am not certain that this is correct, but you should be able to add another 16 GB.  If Crucial's Advisor Tool recommends their product it is guaranteed to work.  I suggest that you use CPU-Z to determine the manufacturer and timings of the current memory: https://download.cnet.com/CPU-Z/3000-2086_4-10050423.html

This information is in the Tab titled "SPD".  It is important to know this information because different manufacturer's memory doesn't always play nice together.  Once you have this information, you can contact Crucial's Tech Support to see if their memory is compatible with your current memory.  If not, you will have to replace it.  Also, you can ask them about the maximum memory for your motherboard.

@Old_geekster Thank you so much for the information. This is pretty much what I was looking for. Something to get me started but also to read and help me understand the build. I am new to building, and although I would like to eventually build my own, I just wanted to get my feet wet by upgrading what I have. This is a lot of good info and I sincerely thank you for it.

We all started learning about building computers just like you are doing.  These days it is less necessary to build a computer yourself because HP has some great gaming computers to sell.  However, there is nothing like the feeling that one gets from pushing the power button on your own build and having it purr to life the first time.  I built the Custom Build in my Signature in May, 2019.  I am old enough that I wanted one last computer with every component top of the line.  Most of the components were less than 2 months old; except the PSU. liquid cooler and Case.  Good luck on your upgrades and again, if you need further help, I am here every day at some point.
