Has any tried to use a 400w power supply from an HP Pavilion or other HP desktops that have the same 7 pin and 4 pin connectors? Mine has a Baker motherboard, but would the TG01 series PSUs or PSUs from a Rother motherboard for example work with my computer? It doesnt seem to make sense why there are several 400w power supplies, all with the same connections, but are not all showing as compatible with the HP desktops that have those connections. L76557-001 is like $50 on ebay. But the L69242-800 is the only one that I've heard will work.
Any one have experience trying a different psu in a TE01 series than the L69242-800? It's stupidly expensive.

According to this PSU listing of the TE01/Baker MB, it appears that as you mentioned, the only power supply that is compatible with your desktop is the 400 watt L69242-800.
That said, HP certified documentation for cross-referenced compatible HP PSUs is, well, lacking. And indeed, market pricing for the L69242-800 is insane...

[EDIT:] Well now, HP actually has the L69242-800 in stock. If you are willing to dish out $127 -mind you, this does not include tax and S/H, this 400 watt PSU could be yours (assuming you live in the US): https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=L69242-800
There are, however, other ePSU power options. -Off the HP reservation, mind you, but will work just fine. Thanks for sharing, but it's unclear whether they just ended up going with the L69242-800, which I was hoping to avoid due to the final cost with shipping on this thing being a whopping $157. I've checked out similar PSU's that should work, however it ultimately came down to the 7 PIN connector having a different number of wires used. So it appears HP made it where even though the PSUs are all 400w and almost the same, thier corresponding motherboards have different 7 pin connection points and/or number of wires used... What a pain. They sure are going to find a way to make you have to buy that ridiculously over priced L69242-800...
