HP Envy Recline

It will not boot it goes to a blue screen that's says smart hard drive error. It says Hard disk 1 (301) F2 - System diagnostics and enter to continue set up. When u press enter it ask you to press F1 to boot. That's on a black screen that says 1720 - smart hard drive detects imminent failure. Failing drive : satao failing attribute: # B8.  We do that and it goes back to blue screen again. Help please it won't boot up.

It means you will have to get the hard drive device replaced.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..

the hard drive is defective
It can continue to operate for a certain time, but it can definitively break down, if it is not already the case!
If possible, save personal data
Try a full reinstall
Be careful even if it works, it may permanently break down, save the data regularly.
This may allow you to use the computer while you find a hard drive!
