I'm looking to upgrade my laptop's memory. I can see that there are 2 slots that are full. How to see whether these are upgradable or not, if upgradable what type of RAM's should look for?

Your notebook supports 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 CL22 memory which will run at 2400 MHz.

If you don't have 2 x 16 GB of memory installed, you can remove what's there and install up to that amount.

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the memory upgrade information:

@Paul_Tikkanen,

Researched this whilst you already posted.

As you mentioned, the OP's HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0062ax can be fitted with up to 2x16GB of DDR4 PC4-25600, 3200 MHz, Non-ECC, SODIMM, 260-pin RAM sticks, which will bridge to 2666 MHz RAM speed, or use DDR4 PC4-21300, 2666 MHz RAM sticks which can run at 2666 MHz, as can be seen with this User: HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec0xxx Performance Results - UserBenchmark.

2x16GB RAM kit options:

Crucial 32GB Kit (16GB x 2) DDR4 2666 MT/s (PC4-21300) SODIMM 260-Pin Memory - CT2K16G4SFRA266 at Am...

Timetec 32GB KIT(2x16GB) DDR4 2666MHz (DDR4-2666) PC4-21300 (PC4-2666V) Non-ECC Unbuffered 1.2V CL19...

Compatibility Note: All these kits are 260-pin DDR4 SODIMM modules operating at 2666MHz, aligning with the OP's laptop specifications. The OP should make sure that the system's BIOS is updated to the latest version (F.19to support new memory modules most effectively.

Hi, @NonSequitur777

I have to disagree with you regarding the speed the memory will run at.

None of the processors in that model series can run the memory any faster than 2400 MHz.

Here are the specs on the best processor offered:

AMD Ryzen™ 7 3750H Drivers

Memory speed is indicated under the Connectivity section.

@Paul_Tikkanen,

Well, all I am saying is that at least some AMD Ryzen 7 3750H users have shown that RAM can be run at 2666 MHz -including the HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0xxx User:
