HP ENVY 750-177c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP ENVY 750-177c Desktop pc.

Version 1.04

I would like to Upgrade my GPU but i understand that i must first upgrade my power supply.

what i have in mind is to upgrade to :

EVGA - W1 Series 600W ATX 12V/EPS 12V 80 Plus Power Supply

Then

NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3060 TI.

Reason for upgrade: VR Gaming and 3D Object rendering.

Will this Work?

Here is a HP Knowledge Base article that tells you what to consider when upgrading the video card: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Knowledge-Base/Upgrade-Video-Card/ta-p/7481981

The motherboard in your computer has a PCI Express x16 (Gen. 3) video slot.  This is compatible with the RTX 3060 Ti.  The main concern that I would have is the amount of heat developed by the card.  Also, the minimum wattage of the PSU that is necessary is 600W.

Here is a Power Supply Calculator: https://www.newegg.com/tools/power-supply-calculator/?nm_mc=AFC-RAN-COM&cm_mmc=AFC-RAN-COM&utm_mediu...

I recommend using it before buying a PSU.

You are welcome, @Curiousgeorge32!

I know what you mean.  Every website that I went to was Out of Stock!  Oh, well, when you do get one it will be that much sweeter.  It will run just as good a month from now. 😉  Be patient.
