Hi. I'm trying to upgrade my ram.
The PC came with 1x8 gb stick 3200 MHz. It was running at 2666 (limited by both CPU and motherboard i think)
I then bought 2x8 gb 3000 MHz ram sticks but the ram speed is now limited to 2133. I cannot find XMP settings in bios and I'm afraid the bios doesn't have the option the enable XMP.
How do I get my new ram to run at the original 2666 MHz again?
CPU: Intel core i5-10400F
Motherboard: HP8767 (Intel 470)
I hope you can help

Looking at JEDEC standard DDR4 module DDR4-3000 is not listed as a "standard". I suspect the BIOS does not recognized the memory and falls back to a lower speed that it knows will work. The official HP documentation requires 3200 but like many systems, actually runs slower. Memory speed profiles are for overclocking and I suspect are not ever going to be available.

hi
Unfortunately, it is only possible to modify this with certain models
https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/c06723583
and the information for this motherboard is not very clear
- Dual channel memory architecture (One DIMM per channel)
- Two DDR4 UDIMM (288-pin) sockets
- Supports up to PC4-23400 (DDR4-2933)
- Supports 4 GB and 8 GB DDR4 UDIMMs
- Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
note:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory. - Supports up to 32 GB (unbuffered) with two 16 GB DIMMs on 64-bit systems
8 GB DDR4-2933 SDRAM (2 x 4 GB) |

You may therefore need to exchange for compatible modules
just for information, don't touch anything
