Hi I need to know what kind of hard SSD drive I should get? I have a Samsung MZ7LN256HMJP-000H1

that is 256 gb and would like a 2tb drive.

What kind, (or model) do I get?

I want to upgrade, but don't know where to start.

Hi:

According to the information you posted, you have an OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-130 PC.

It has the Thimphu motherboard.

The Thimphu motherboard supports NVMe SSDs provided you have BIOS revision A0.14 or newer installed.

If you want to switch/upgrade to a NVMe SSD, I recommend this 2 TB model and costs a little less than the 2 TB SATA drive I originally posted.

Hi:

What is the full model number or product number of your PC?

According to the model number of the drive you posted it is a M.2 SATA SSD.

Depending on what model PC you have, it may support a faster performing NVMe SSD.

If you want to stick to a M.2 SATA SSD, I recommend this model:

Hi:

I would need to know the product number/model number of your PC.

The info regarding your desktop model number is just some unique random number Windows assigns to the PC.
