Hi there. The issue concerns the PC 580-158ng with the Basswood 8399 motherboard. I wanted to upgrade the processor. I found information about supported models on the manufacturer's website. I also performed a BIOS update. Unfortunately, the BIOS doesn't start after replacing the processor. I don't know what to do, and I'm really counting on your help.
Currently, I have an AMD Ryzen3-1200. The upgrade concerns AMD Ryzen5-1600.

Does the PC boot when you reinstall the original processor?

Yes. The PC starts up after reverting to the original processor. Upon the first boot, CMOS recovery takes place.

Read the release notes for the BIOS upgrade to see what each upgrade was for.
Often you can see when processor compatibility has been added.
I don't see F.23 in the list.
There are other more current versions that upgrade the microcode that you should consider.
Leave the original processor in as you update the BIOS to the current version

Yes. It does
Let me check. I will have to ask internally why four BIOS updates with different family SSID numbers are offered at the driver download web document.
This will take a few days since it is the weekend.

It appears that those other updates are for the other motherboards that HP has used for earlier HP Pavilion Power desktop series.
Your Basswood has BIOS Rom Family 8399, so F.23 is the only one that can be used for your PC.
