@Paul_Tikkanen

Everything is working good right now I have got Windows 7 Installed. I ordered HP Recovery Disk for this model 4 DVD's. I wanted to see how these disk work on Business Models. On consumer models the Recovery will install a bunch of Bloatware. But it seems Business Models it's just basically a factory image no Norton or McAfee crap. I was surprised to find it had ie 9 not ie 8.  And it also had some other updates up until 2013 and has Microsoft Security Essentials but it's outdated it's really the only nag ware because it wasn't activated.

Also I found out something. This disk put's a HP_TOOLS partition it has diagnostics. If you delete it the diagnostics are still there just a different screen.

I had a HP 15 Laptop from like January 2016 and it had the same diagnostics. I don't know what else is in the HP_TOOLS. There was a post on here I replied I cannot remember exactly but I replied and said HP_TOOLS was for Bios Update's from booting to BIOS and doing it that way. I guess I was wrong I also had a HP ProBook 6560b it had the original recovery when I got it and was the same as this HP desktop no bloatware. I had ordered media for it but it was a HP Branded Windows 7 and 1 driver disk and some other.

The recovery disk I got for this HP 8300 is an Image made with Cyberlink Software. It goes through a process of installing software and building the partitions. I just wanted to see how this worked I figured the recovery would be disk like the ProBook.  Oh and I would have used the original image but it was 32 bit the recovery disk I got was 64 bit since I the license is both 32/64. I will upgrade to Windows 10 later first I want to fool around with Windows 7. I also made a Windows 7 Recovery on USB I might just get a good AV and try to keep using Windows 7. Even though there is no support I heard that Software will work until 2023 when Support ends for Windows 8.1, Not sure how true that is.

When I bought my 8200 Elite new from HP, it came with the set of 4 recovery disks.

I used it once to restore the PC after I experimented with W8, and didn't like it.

After I added some hardware to the PC such as a graphics card, the disks wouldn't work anymore, when I went to use them, so I had to resort to a clean install of W7 Pro x64 using the recovery disk from my HP Elitebook 6930p.

That was just a plain OS disk and it didn't even ask for a product key, since I guess it works on any HP PC that could have come with W7 Pro.

Sorry I never came back to reply. Have you had any shutdown issues with Windows 10 on your HP 8200?

HP Recommended

No.

I have not had any problems of any kind.

OK I posted a message about it but now I do not see it at all. I don't even see it in my profile under my post. Also this forum is extremely slow. I checked my internet speed and it's normal.

Sometimes that happens.

A message completely disappears and shows up a few hours later, and some folks are under the wrong impression that their post was deleted by a moderator.

The is the only other post I see from you today (beside the two on this discussion).

Forum also seems extremely slow. Must be server hosted on dial up .
