I have an HP M01-F1024 desktop, I want to upgrade the storage space but am unsure what SSD would fit in?
Also, can the graphics card support four monitor setup?

Why you say no M.2 slot for storage ? Anyway,
- the smaller slot is for other device such as a sound card, a wifi adapter ...
- the larger one is for a video card ..
Regards.

Your machine could be one of the following machines
https://support.hp.com/au-en/product/hp-desktop-pc-m01-f0000a/38096274/model/2100021581/product-info
It uses Erica5 motherboard:
which says it has
- One PCI Express Gen 3 x16
- One PCI Express Gen 3 x1
- Two M.2 expansion slots (one for WLAN and one for SSD)
- One M.2 socket 1, Key A
- One M.2 socket 3, Key M, (2280/2242)
You can use M.2 NVMe for your machine (SATA would also swork) for example

I bought SAMSUNG 980 SSD 1TB PCle 3.0x4, NVMe M.2 2280, Internal Solid State Drive. After opening the desktop I notice that there is no available slot for it. I thought there should extra slot to fit in the SSD? What are the two slots circled in blue for?

What is your machine ? I said above " Your machine could be one of the following machines" and gave an example.
Looks like your machine ALREADY has M.2 SSD as shown on your image. It ONLY has 1 slot an already occupied.

hi
you asked to install a graphics card
the largest pci 16 x slot is used to install a graphics card precisely
the smallest can be used for a smaller card, provided that it is not hampered by a rather large graphics card
for example
