I'm wondering if a Quadro K2200 4GB would fit and work on my HP M01-F1114. It's got a 180watt 80 plus gold power supply and the card does not require any pins.

Thank you!

If you want to replace/add a graphics card, there are a few things you need to check

You have to check the manufacturers data, for the chosen model , Dimensions, power requirements, and additional pci connectors required >see @old_geekster 's kb

@Cory102600,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Your question whether your HP Desktop M01-F1114 PC (1J7N5AA), as fitted with an HP Erica5 motherboard (SSID: 87D7), can be fitted with the Nvidia Quadro K2200 4GB GDDR5, is an interesting one.

On the one hand, according to: https://www.nvidia.com/content/dam/en-zz/Solutions/design-visualization/documents/75509_DS_NV_Quadro..., this graphics card's max power consumption is 68 watt, which would suggest to me that a 180-watt power supply should be able to handle this card.

However, when I looked online to ascertain what the minimum power supply requirement is for this card, all sources I found (such as: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/quadro-k2200.c2601), mention a minimum 250-watt PSU.

One more thing.  Looking online for performance benchmarks for your M01-Fxxx system -such as this example: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/46791164, shows that this GPU's graphic performance is only about 17% -on a good day, that is.  I don't know what games you have in mind to play on it -if you are going to use it for gaming at all -but if you would, it would likely be a disappointing experience.

Anyway, according to: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Power-Supply-Cross-Reference-for-specific-model..., there is a 400-watt power supply upgrade available, with HP p/n: L04618-800.  Maybe a 500-watt power supply (HP p/n: L05757-800) is also compatible, but I am unsure about it. With a 400-watt power supply, you would be able to power a much more powerful graphics card, such as a compact sized RTX 3050 or even an HP (or Dell) branded RTX 3060, which are available via eBay.

Perhaps I digressed, but maybe this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

to make it clear, before moving on to something else, if you need a better power supply, or another graphics card @Cory102600
I tell you here, to check what is required for your graphics card, because indeed for some it would be necessary to change the power supply
now I can offer you any graphics card, regardless of what you want
The question therefore, why this model and not another?
I removed part of my macro, in order to answer only the question for this graphics card:

for the graphics card, I often recommend the Asus site with filter options

just 500w

https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/graphics-cards/all-series/filter?Spec=683

or msi

https://www.msi.com/Graphics-Cards
sometimes no choice, you will have to change the power supply as well

max power supply see in KB

Power Supply Cross Reference for specific models - HP Support Community - 7483923

yes it s hp 500w l05757-800

pay attention, for the purchase of graphics card via ebay
Not long ago I saw a user, who bought a graphics card, but probably didn't notice that it was already used, and therefore he encountered some problems!
I advise you to do the pros and cons, rather buy new, even if for a less powerful model
sometimes this type of sale, no guarantee, no return possible
