hello everyone, i want to upgrade my psu of 260 watts to some 500 watts psu to support my GPU, but i can't find one that could be compatible due to that atx port that is specifique to HP desktops, i've got an HP pro tower 400 G9 btw. Any help would be very appreciated
thank you in advance ❤️

Welcome to our HP community forum!
The best proprietary power supply I could locate for your HP Pro Tower 400 G9 is a 400-watt power supply with part number: N03175-001. With a 400-watt power supply you can power a smaller sized (two-fan) RTX 4060 model powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power cable, such as this example.

Thank you very much for replying this fast. I actually do have a similar GPU as the one you recommended, so i looked up for the PSU you recommended yet didn't find any offers on amazone or ebay, but i did came across another forum in the HP website where for the same model that I have they recommended this PSU L04618-800 that i easily found on amazone, and so I want to verify compatibility if possible and if it will work for me, here is the forum : https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/I-have-HP-Pro-Tower-400-G9-PCI-...
Your answer will be highly appreciated,
Thank you in advance ❤️

hello again, i want to make sure about one thing tho, it's that that PSU don't have the purple cable that is related to standby feature while my motherboard does have it, wont it affect the fonctionality of my PC if the PSU doesn't have that cable ??

In my experience -which is the only thing I can go by since HP hasn't compiled a listing of compatible power supplies, is that if your "P2" power cable connector has the correct format and is only off one wire, you should be fine.

so between the one you recommended first and the one sold on amazone, which one is better for me to purchase and most likely to work ? ( i found that it is sold as a part on HP website )
thank you for your help

Well, the 400-watt power supply with p/n: N03175-001 is actually referenced by HP specifically for your PC -that is why I mentioned it in the first place.
