Hi,

The 7th gen Intel CPUs (i5-7400) run on Intel 200 series chipsets. You need a minimum 300 series chipset but the 7th gen CPU you have will not run on a 300 chipset.

You need to upgrade the CPU to at least a 8th gen product and look at a 300 chipset having integrated PTT or a TPM 2.0 module.

HP does not support swapping in a newer motherboard using their products. So you have to upgrade the MB and CPU using retail parts. W10 is supported until 2025.

I would stay on W10. Then buy a new PC down the road.

I have seen where you can install W11 clean on unsupported hardware but this may break future Microsoft updates to your PC; this is not good.

Regards
