HERE IS THE MANUAL for that line of PC's.   On page 52 it shows a PCI x1 addon card for USB 3.0 part # 616610-001

I would think a generic PCI x 1 card would also work, assuming the mounting is correct.

Here is example of two port

https://www.amazon.com/2-Port-SuperSpeed-Express-Controller-Card/dp/B0042U52KC

Here is an example of 4 port

https://www.amazon.com/Syba-SD-PEX20133-Port-PCIe-Controller/dp/B008AJM6H8

I assume either will work

The HP  8200 is SFF, so low profile bracket is required, is this card suitable in the attached link

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01CFD2AL6/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3UF8PXQ6LV5KE&c...

Will the speed of usb 3 handled ok in this model?

thank you

HP Recommended

According to the specs of the unit in your link:

Performance per port may decrease if multiple ports are transferring data simultaneously due to limited throughput of the PCI-Express slot.

So it can support USB 3.0 speed assuming the PCI slot can keep up, but it will most definitely support USB speeds.

Will I better use PCIe card with two usb3 ports or it makes no differences if I use two or four USB 3 ports card?

Thank you

HP Recommended

It should not matter.  I would think the number of ports is less important if you plan on using only one ot two ports, unless there is a need to use more than two at the same time, then go with the four port unit.

Hi, yes thank you very much, I have installed and it fits and works fine, I am getting nearly 3 times faster transfer rate, not sure how to achieve the 10 x faster speed or the 6 gb/s.

How did you provide it with power?

The power supply in this machine hasnt got any cables left...

Im trying to hook my HP 8200 Elite SFF up with some 3.0 USB ports but the power supply for the PCI cards are the problem in my case...

The PCI card has a 4PIN power connector.

The power supply only provides:

P3 - 4 pin

P1 - 6 pin

P2 - 6 pin

I could need some help.

I used SATA power splitter cable to provide power to the card, if your card has 4 PIN IDE Molex you need another cable Molex to SATA Y splitter cable, what make and model is your card? is it PCI or PCIe?
