Hi @Responsiblebar, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
You’ll need to create a Windows recovery USB using a Chromebook since your HP laptop is stuck in a boot loop. Here’s how you can do it:
Step 1: Get a USB Drive
- Use a USB drive with at least 8GB of space (16GB recommended).
- Warning: This process will erase all data on the USB.
Step 2: Download the Recovery Tool
- On your Chromebook, open Chrome.
- Go to the Microsoft Media Creation Tool.
- Since the Media Creation Tool does not work on Chrome OS, you’ll need a workaround:
- Use a different device (Windows or Mac) to create the USB.
- OR download an official Windows ISO file and create a bootable USB on Chromebook.
Step 3: Create a Bootable USB Using Chromebook
- Install the Chromebook Recovery Utility from the Chrome Web Store.
- Download it here.
- Open the Recovery Utility and click the gear icon.
- Select Use local image.
- Choose the Windows ISO file you downloaded.
- Insert your USB drive and follow the prompts to create a bootable Windows USB.
Step 4: Boot HP Laptop from USB
- Insert the USB into your HP laptop.
- Turn it on and immediately press ESC repeatedly.
- Press F9 to enter the Boot Menu.
- Select your USB drive and press Enter.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall Windows.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
