HP Envy TE02-0042

It's been more than a decade since I welcomed in a new family member,

so don't remember how to 'indoctrinate' it.  New desktop's components

are several generations more current than outgoing dog (which has been

upgraded dozens of times from it's original W7 to current version of W10).

Admitting (at my old age) I HATE 'learning from my mistakes' what advice/

guidance/instruction/warnings; please educate regarding what/how to

transfer info I want to keep vs info I want to permanantly erase?

Possibly a moot point (but VERY appreciated) since Best Buy did it for me

(had Totaltech due to TV/mounting purchase and charged me nothing!!

(I'm just now 'taking her for a drive' so we'll soon see if need more help)
