Hi. I need HELP! ...or else I will be bald SOON from self-injury & madness!
So when you see a bald, naked woman, on TV running down the street, threatening to beat the sheeit out of Bill Gates, you will know who!!! There are myriad reasons why.
I am begging this kind community for help...please! Any advice is gladly welcomed, any ideas is gladly welcomed.
I want to install Windows 7. I have various copies of Windows 7, some verified, authentic, genuine, untouched and some, otherwise. My PC is not having it!!! I place a DVD into tray, I turn the PC off. I turn the PC on. I try to install. White line at bottom of screen says something like "Windows Files Loading.." Next thing I see is the Windows 7 colorful splash screen begin to develop, stops, freezes, that's it, it goes no further, the process of installing Windows 7 goes no further...Finite!
So far, I have tried using --USB, --DVD, --genuine DVD, --not-so-genuine DVD, --BIOS has no legacy boot, --secure boot is off, --no way to turn UEFI boot off, --boot order changed so DVD is first. It all freezes and I cannot install.
HELP!
Thank you.

HI @LadyDPM ,
You're very welcome.
I have not installed W7 on newer hardware since maybe 2017 or 2018.
It was a PITA then and has gotten much worse. You would have all kinds of unsolvable driver problems if you did manage to install W7 on your PC.
I can't help you.
Regards

I know I know...no support, not safe, no security, hackable, etc etc etc...but guess what?
I STILL WANT IT...HHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
And I did notice, you said "almost"....so tell me? Got any ideas?
I am not living with anything I truly don't have to.
Thanks and Kisses!

I see. I understand. I am going to try one last thing. After that, I will install Windows 10. I hated Windows 11...too early...too soon...too many bugs...its not ready yet...no rush for it.
You are kind and helpful. I appreciate you taking time out to reply.
Enjoy the rest of your day!
Thanks, Hugs, and Kisses!

I hope that your computer does not have a "hardware" issue, such as a failing disk-drive, that has become the "road-block". Can you replace the disk-drive, and then retry to install?
If you have an HP computer, a copy of the HP Hardware Diagnostics is installed on the current disk-drive.
When you power-on the computer, keep tapping the ESC key until a menu appears.
Hopefully, on that menu will be that Diagnostics option. Run it, to check your hardware.

@LadyDPM -- Got PC in Oct 2021.
Your new PC comes with a 12-month warranty from HP.
Contact HP Support, and, if necessary, exercise the warranty to get it repaired/replaced, if you cannot install the original factory-loaded operating system.
Presumably, last October, your computer came pre-installed with Windows 10.
As others have said, Windows 7 (released in October 2009) is just not compatible with hardware purchased in 2021.
I highly recommend that you re-install the factory-installed Windows 10, and then immediately take the free upgrade to Windows 11.
Note that many software packages, such as Microsoft Office 365, and some anti-virus programs, will refuse to install on a computer running Windows 7. Do not "paint yourself into a corner", by trying to use Windows 7.

To fix this You have to make a bootable usb first go to your other laptop and copy the windows 7 iso image using winrar to your usb
Then When you are done plug the usb into your device then open the boot menu select your usb and boot from it sometimes you might not have a boot menu so if you dont you can head over to your bios and click legacy and boot from it
Hopefully this resolved your issues have a great day!

Ma'm If you develop issues while installing windows 7 i suggest upgrading it So its faster if it still happens check components they might not be compatible and one last thing is sometimes your computer has dust so you have to clean it and clean the components
Hopefully this resolved your issues Have a great day!
