HP T430 Thin Client

While trying to configure several things on my HP Thin Client, I caused the taskbar to disappear and also the right click navigation bar. Now I can't do anything to configure my equipment. I would like to be able to become an administrator again and get out of this softlock, how do I do this?

I take this opportunity to ask a second question: I want to prevent the Thin Client user from modifying his connection parameters in RDP (not modifying the RDweb address for example) why is there no parameter allowing to block this feature and only allow them to connect without changing the settings?

Thanks,

Clément

The easy way would be to re-install the OS and start from scratch. If you cant access the Admin account then there is very less to be done.

If you want to use a Flash drive to install the OS, you will need to the HP Thin Update (stand alone) took to create a recovery media. This tool can be installed on a standard windows PC and used to create recovery media

Please refer the below link to download Thin update 2.06.22 (latest)

For 64bit: https://ftp.ext.hp.com/pub/tcimages/EasyUpdate/Images/ThinUpdateRelease/2_6_22/HPThinUpdate-02.06.22...

** Do not copy this file to the flash drive. You need to install this on a Windows based PC **

Install the ThinUpdate on any Windows 10 64 bit computer

- Open the tool, Select the first option "Download ThinClient Recovery image"

- Select Platform (Thin client model)

- Select Operating system

- Select the image (If Windows ensure to select right language)

- Connect the right size of Flash drive and click on Create. This tool will format and create a bootable Media

- (The tool would format the flash drive and create the bootable media. If you are prompted to format the flash drive a second time please cancel it)

*To boot the unit from USB, tap F9 the moment you press the power button to turn on the unit. Select Flash drive under UEFI

**Click the thumb up on the left to say 'Thanks'**
