Hi,

While creating bootable USB, most of time we get confused because of MBR, GPT, UEFI, EFI, Legacy & Secure Boot.

I read these terms individually.

How these terms are related to others?

Which terms are not individual?

Please elaborate and clarify.

With Regards

Sorry, but we're not a tech training school -- so we have no tutorials on this stuff.

In the three days since you posted, you could have Googled the answers many time.

I will provide brief overviews -- but you need to get the details yourself. Do some online searching.

MBR and GPT are two different ways to format drives.  MBR (Master Boot Record) is the old way, GPT (GUI Partition Table) is the newer way.

UEFI/EFI and BIOS are firmware formats for the BIOS code on a chip on the motherboard.  BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) is the old firmware format; UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) is the new firmware format.

Legacy and Secure boot are boot modes of new PCs.  With Secure Boot, you can not boot from anything other than the internal drive.  The PC will not read or recognize USB sticks to be used for booting, nor will it boot from external drives.
