I need to migrate my apps and associated data from a HP Envy laptop running Win 10 to a new HP Z2G9 workstation pre-installed with Win 11 Pro. I can find instructions to upgrade a single device Win 10 to 11, but the Envy is not sufficiently compatible to upgrade to Win 11 first.
I can easily copy over the associated data, but if I just copy over the apps as installed on the laptops (presumably without the Windows 10 directory), I can't believe there won't be a miss-match or actual corruption between the Win10 and Win11 specific files.
Does that mean I should expect to have to install all my apps (over 100) from the original installation files on the Win 11 Pro system and re-configure each app from scratch ? Or am I missing some facility that helps with this type of migration ?

Hello @speleojazzer ,
Welcome to the HP community.
Your post was in a section of the community dealing with products of the former Polycom company dealing with Video and Audio Conferencing products and has therefore been moved. It was moved to a section more suitable for your request
In regards to your actual question, HP does deliver PC's with our Partner Microsoft OS but HP does not develop the OS itself.
Your question may be more suited with Microsoft support, as it is their OS after all, or a Microsoft focused community in case.
Other volunteers may reply but if you need urgent help please work with our support organization in your region. Details on how to contact us are in my signature
