@Danielatheer -- wait so basically my power supply does not work but if it does do I have to manually turn it on? OK so I connected the power cable to my old power supply the led turned on but computer did not turn on like fans and everything else did not turn on and I can assure you it has nothing to do nothing with my power supply because I hear it receiving power and it was working 1 year ago

What you hear probably is the fan inside the power-supply. Obviously, the fan is getting power.

The LED you are seeing may just indicate that the power-supply is receiving power through the power-cord. It is quite possible that the LED shows nothing more about the voltages being generated by the power-supply, and being fed through the various cables from the power-supply to the motherboard/video-card/fans/CD/DVD/disk-drive.

The only way to determine that your power-supply is not functioning as well as it did one year ago is to replace the power-supply.  As I previously wrote, take your computer to that owner/operator computer store, and get them to find & install a compatible power-supply.  If it works, buy the power-supply.

so If you guys can get an expert to help, get them here now.

This is a peer-to-peer discussion forum, where volunteer contributors try to help. It is not a direct path to HP Support.  If your computer is more than 12 months old, the HP Warranty has expired. So, you cannot create a claim against that warranty, to get HP to trouble-shoot and/or repair/replace it.  This leaves a private-sector computer-store as the only place to get professional assistance. I think that going to an owner/operator computer store will get you a better technician than any "Geek-With-A-Jeep" type of mobile service.

Hi @Danielatheer

I did not receive response notifications.
but you gave the computer model, fine
only you still have not given the conclusion of the repairer ..
If they said irreparable, they probably had to test the power supply, unless they didn't want to bother with your computer at all.
From what you have indicated here, with the tests already carried out, you do not have many options left, it seems to be the motherboard which has a problem
You don't have a graphics card according to this, if you added one remove it there
It says 6 gb of ram
If two modules remove in one
remove the battery from the motherboard
leave only the hdd disk connected
unplug everything else dvd player, card reader etc
if you have usb devices, remove everything
you just need keyboard, mouse, screen
replace the original power supply, if you have try another one
Restart

When you left the computer for a year, where was it?

@Danielatheer --  i really need help. I don't have enough money and this is my last computer

Is there some sort of "Computer Club" near you, where members meet and share ideas & discussions?

Can you "beg" one of them to trouble-shoot your computer?

Can you access a web-site like "Craig's List" or Facebook virtual garage ("Varage") and post a "need help" item?  Getting "local" help is superior to asking on this international forum -- there is a limit on what can be done "remotely" via this forum.

Sorry, but did you follow what I said?
if so, you consulted someone who said the computer is not repairable, then there is nothing magic
That said, you don't always answer what is asked...
In your case, I strongly fear that it is the motherboard that is ruined.

I wish I could help you, but the conditions here make it seem impossible to be able to follow...

ok so I know identified the issue and it caused my power supply to fail because everything was working it was just my CPU fan

would not power on so my computer died and I need some help as soon as possible here's the problems I'm experiencing

1. led turns on but the computer does not beep turn on and nothing turns on

2. I verified power cord is fine

3. power supply is receiving power but not turning on

the last time my computer turned on was in 2021 but somehow my ram was not clean so I had to unplug everything from

my PC and I cleaned the ram before this happened I got a beep code and I ignored it after I put everything  back in I verified everything was working then after I decided not to use my PC for a year because I was going to my cousin's house  when I came back 1 year later I went plugged everything back in I press the power button but no response from the computer it's like one of the components are damaged normally when I turn my computer on the led would turn on HDD would power and fans would spin but when I pressed the power button fans don't spin led glows but nothing turns on HDD works but I don't know if it turns on but my HDD is ok so this is the full problem im

experiencing right now.

It is possible that the power-button is not working.

Which LED is glowing? Is it the one immediately adjacent to where the power-cord plugs-in to the power supply?  That LED is just an indication that the power-cord is OK.

How can you tell that your HDD is OK?

Have you disconnected the cables from it, physically removed it, and connected it as a "secondary" HDD in the computer that you are using to make your replies?  Does this other computer detect the disk-drive? Can you read any files from the disk-drive?

Similarly, can you disconnect all the "pig-tails" from the power-supply to all the devices, and physically remove the power-supply from your computer, and temporarily connect it to your other computer, to temporarily replace that computer's power-supply?  Connect one of the pig-tails to the power-socket on the other computer's motherboard. Connect only the screen to the other computer (no power to the disk-drive or CD/DVD and do not connect any keyboard/mouse or printer or scanner or web-camera).

Power-on that other computer, and see if anything at all is displayed on the video display.

If you get something, then your power-supply is OK.

Does your computer have the same RAM as your other computer?

Remove all the sticks from the other computer, and connect one stick from your computer.

Does the computer power-on, or does it "beep" because the stick of RAM is "dead" ?

Try each of the other sticks from your computer.

Tell us the results of all these "part-swapping" adventures.

ok so led does glow up but does Not Power on

and HDD is ok because I checked it and its ok

I replaced the CMOS battery nothing changed

I checked some of the motherboard components they were

fine and I checked my ram it was clean there was no defective slots or ram

I made sure my power supply cable was fine and was plugged in correctly

and I tested my power supply and it turned on

and I tried plugging it in another power outlet still nothing but led turned on

but I think it could be the CPU fan because it is dusty and could cause the power supply to fail and my CPU is

also dusty so that could be the problem so guys can you help me clean my CPU fan and CPU to get it running again I need help and this is an important computer and if I lose it I would be able to work and I will have to spend thousands of dollars for an new one
