Greetings Diane,
OCCT stresses the CPU and some memory. Plus it works the power supply and the MB in general.
That's good if OCCT had no errors.
Maybe there is a AC power outlet problem in the other room.
Your PC seems to be okay now.
Keep an eye on things. Get back to the Forum if you have any problems.
Intermittent problems can be be very unpredictable.
Regards

Hi Diane,
Sorry to see your PC is still unstable. What are you doing on the PC when it black screens?
That's really strange since you did a 10 minute OCCT test successfully. Well, I did state intermittent errors are unpredictable.
Run OCCT again. But set the test timer for 30 minutes or more.
Try a W11 in-place recovery:
First backup system drive data (to be safe).
Try a "non-destructive" W11 in-place recovery. Go to Settings>System>Recovery.
Do "Fix problems using Windows Update" to see if this helps.
I'm sorry, but if a W11 in-place upgrade does not help, you'll have to try a HP Cloud Recovery if your PC Qualifies. Or you might have to create W11 installation media available Here.
Reinstall Windows. Then run the PC for a good while in a pristine state. Just do required Windows updates. Don't manually install any drivers or software. Windows Update should provide all required drivers.
You're going to need a different local PC Tech to check for hardware faults if the PC is unstable after doing a clean W11 installation.
A good PC Tech will swap in components until the faulty component is found.
It is very difficult to isolate a hardware problem in a Forum.

Thank you so much for your time and advice. Pretty much I'm just on my computer going to check my email, facebook or bank account. Then it goes black. Not all the time , just once in awhile which is so weird. As we speak I am doing a windows recovery. I will do another OCCT test after the windows recovery is finish. I read on-line about resetting the Secure boot keys , would that help? As I said I'm not very savvy with the computers but I'm trying everything I can to fix the computer that's only 1 1/2 old. thanks so much for all your help, it most appreciated.

Hi Diane,
I don't think resetting the Secure Boot keys would help.
Yes, do a full recovery. Then try OCCT again.
Only connect: the monitor, the keyboard, and the mouse when using the PC after doing a Windows recovery.
And try all of your PC's available USB ports (mouse and keyboard connections) to see how it goes.
Maybe your PC does have a bad USB port or one of the USB devices connected to your PC has a problem.
You really need to have a PC Tech take a look if the PC is still unstable and we can't solve the problem in this Forum.

Thank you! I did the Windows Recovery and now I'm going to do the OCCT again. Thanks for your help and advice, really appreciate it! Do you think if it brought it in again to the geek squad they could figure it out? thanks so much!

Greetings @Diane1016
After doing the W11 in-place recovery you should run the PC for a long time to see what happens. Only use: a mouse, a keyboard, and a monitor.
Connect the mouse and keyboard to different USB ports if the PC black screens.
I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact multiple OCCT tests pass. But the PC black screens when you are doing simple computing tasks.
You could go back to Geek Squad. But Geek Squad did not resolve the problem the first time.
I would try a different local PC Tech if the PC continues to be unstable.
It's your choice.
