Hi, I am trying to move the information from the existing SAT disk to a NVE disk of the same capacity, however the BIOS does not recognize the NVME disk but in windows explorer it has not had any problems.
Alternatively I have tried cloning the disk via the Acronis tool from Scandisk (disk manufacturer) and with it initializing it directly with no major success.
I am now making a bootable drive through HP's own tool but it tells me that it is not possible to create a direct image of the disk. HP PCs - HP Cloud Recovery Tool Supported Platforms web page error Item0015.
- Do you know how to make the bios recognize the NVMe disk?
- How to generate a boot disk with the existing driver information on the laptop?
- What am I doing wrong in the process or how to make the upgrade smoothly?
Thank you very much for the support

Hi:
Did you try making a plain W10 installation flash drive and see if you can install Windows on the drive?
Some PC's don't show the NVMe SSD in the BIOS, nor in the F9 boot options menu but you can still install Windows on it and it will work fine.
The only thing is, since your notebook has a 2.5" SATA SSD, the notebook will always want to boot from that drive first and not the NVMe SSD, so temporarily disconnect the 2.5" drive until you get the SSD up and running with Windows on it.
It seems that HP removes support for the cloud recovery tool once the PC has reached 5 years of age, which your PC has.
That is why you are getting that 'Item 0015' message.
