I own 3 x z240 desktops and a z440 .  1x z240 has win 11 pro installed not by me, and the other 2 z240's and the z440 has win 10 pro installed by me.

I do not have tpm turned on any of the  machines.

Issue I am having is more and more games require tpm 2.0 and  secure boot enabled to run.

Seems me leaving stuff  to the last minute I need to update tpm 1.2 to 2.0 at least on the z240 machines as they double as gaming machines.   The z440 is a workstation/streaming pc .

Hp page with legacy tpm update utility no longer exists .

Where  can I get Hp tpm utility ?

Thanks

@FettAffen,

Upgrading TPM 1.2 to 2.0 on an HP Z440 Workstation: Solved: Re: HP Z440 Workstation TPM 2.0 Upgrade - HP Support Community - 9422601.

Upgrading TPM 1.2 to 2.0 on an HP Z240 Workstation: Solved: Can't install tpm 2.0 on my HP Z240 Workstation - HP Support Community - 9181384.

Now, you do not necessarily need TPM 2.0 to install Windows 11 on an Z440 or Z240, nor does it matter if your processor is classified as an "unsupported" processor -meaning, anything less than an 8th gen Intel Processor.

However, even though 'officially' these non-supported processors may not be W11 supported, there are a number of reliable and effective methods developed which would allow you to almost effortlessly upgrade your so-called "unsupported device" to Windows 11, such as this easy-to-follow YouTube instructional video shows: How to Install Windows 11 on Unsupported PC in 2025 (New Easiest Method, No CMD).

This method uses a clever Microsoft (Server) backdoor Windows 11 install method.

This works great: I have used it myself on a number of legacy (pre 8th gen Intel Core) HP desktops without any issues whatsoever.

Btw, in the off-chance you don't like W11, you have 10 days to roll back to Windows 10. After 10 days, unless you follow the steps outlined in this instructional video, you may need to do a fresh install of Windows 10. Either way, this video will show you what to do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v9_-4JCh_U&ab_channel=Tips2Fix.

Thank you for the reply ,

I am more concerned getting tpm 1.2 updated to 2.0 on the z240's to satisfy the new requirements for more and more pc games that are coming out.  The HP page for  the TPM utility no longer works. HP tpm utility dead page.

Looking for a safe download of the HP tpm utility to update to TPM .2.0

Thanks!

@FettAffen,

Do you mean: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_10311495-10311809-16/hpsbhf03568, and look under "Workstations"?

Yes!

Thank you 🙂

Looks like all the z240 workstations and the z440 uses the  softpac  SP87753 number.

And they all use the same download for my z240 sff and towers I have. Also the same  download for the z440 .

Alot to read, Will try and see if I can  get tpm 2.0 installed and working on my machines.

Thank you very very much.
