Product: HP Pavilion 500-205t CTO Desktop PC

Can the HP Pavilion 500-205t desktop be upgraded from Window 7 (64-bit) to Windows 10?  And, if so, after upgraded to Windows 10, can it be upgraded to Windows 11?  Thanks!

Hi:

 

Looking at the product specs for your PC, you should be able to run W10 on it.

Here's how to get the free upgrade from W7 to W10:

 

Make a bootable W10 USB installation drive with the media creation tool.

 

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

 

After the media has been created, do not boot from the media.

 

Open the flash drive in Windows explorer and double-click on the setup application you see in the list of files to begin the upgrade process.

 

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page if necessary.

 

There are drivers for W10.

You can go back to W7 within 10 days if things don't work right as long as you don't delete any of the upgrade files or the Windows.old folder.

Your PC does not meet the W11 hardware requirements for the processor and the lack of a TPM 2.0 security device.
