Your PC is too old to be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool, and HP no longer sells W8.1 recovery media for it any longer.

So, you have two options...

1.  Buy a recovery kit from this vendor...

2. Clean install W8.1 for free by making bootable installation media.

Download the plain W8.1 64 bit ISO file from the link below.

Use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you will need to transfer the ISO file to a USB flash drive so that it is bootable, or you can make a bootable USB installation flash drive with Rufus.

After W8.1 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.

note that your Windows 8 system should be eligible to install Windows 10.

When installing, the Windows Installer will either:

1. find the 25-character product-key embedded in your motherboard,

2. "call home" to Microsoft to retrieve the product-key

if you click "I do not have a product key" when the Windows Installer prompts you to enter the key.

While the product-key is for Windows 8, it should work for Windows 10.

Note that Microsoft has stated that the "sunset" -- end of all support for Windows 8 -- is in early 2023 -- just one year away. So, you could reinstall Windows 8, to get you "up-and-running", and then upgrade to Windows 10, later this year.

If you want to upgrade from W8.1 to W10, all you need to do is to click on the blue Update Now button at the link below and W10 will install and automatically activate after you are connected to the internet.

Bear in mind that your PC has no W10 drivers on the support page.

I believe that everything will work on W10, except perhaps the audio.

You can normally fix the no audio issue by installing this W10 IDT audio driver from a slightly newer model AIO PC that has W10 drivers.

Restart the PC after installing the driver.
