Product: HP ProDesk 600 G1 Tower PC

Does the ProDesk 600 G1 tower PC support secure boot? I would like to upgrade to windows 11 but I get an error "PC Must support Secure Boot" when I try running the Windows 11 install ISO.

Hi:

 

Yes, your PC supports secure boot.

 

In order to enable secure boot you have to install Windows in UEFI mode.

 

If it is installed in Legacy mode, you can't enable secure boot.

 

However, your PC still doesn't meet the Microsoft W11 hardware requirements.

 

It does not have a supported processor and there aren't any you can upgrade to, and the TPM security chip is version 1.2 and needs to be 2.0.

 

There is no fix for that either.

 

If you are interested in upgrading your PC to W11, please see the method I have used to in-place upgrade several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's to W11 22H2 that don't meet the hardware requirements.
