That is exactly what I am not doing, opening Virtual Agent on the left and typing Live Agent. Entering Serial Number and Product Number. I am NOT able to initiate a chat session and it goes in a same loop!!
I am getting an error message: "The support session cannot be started".
Yes, I am under warranty. I have bought a care pack and this is a brand new laptop, 4 months old!!

@FrederickMD What is your Product Number of your PC and the Product Number of your carepack?
Have you tried the Chat option at: https://support.hp.com

Xavier-M: Please provide your email address so that I can provide these details to you or contact me via my email address.
I should be able to initiate a chat session from HPSA and not from https://support.hp.com

@Rbergen - Interesting, could you please check all your Windows updates and install all of them? Afterwards, restart your PC and check again. If you are still seeing the same, please PM me here and I will personally help you further.

@Xavier-M I was trying to update a client's workstation this evening and seeing this same problem. Reinstalling with your steps gives the same error, "Application enabling services currently unavailable".
